As a dancer, my approach to movement has changed in fascinating ways through the principles of Gyrotonic® movement. Rather than “harder, faster, stronger”, these carefully structured principles guide the body’s progress to new levels through thoughtful effort and conscious intention.
The GYROTONIC® movement system stimulates the body’s functional capacity whilst developing movement awareness. Greater range of motion and reduced compression help alleviate pain. Harmonious movements promote regeneration and develop flexibility, coordination, strength and agility.
For Everyone
Developed by Juliu Horvarth, GYROTONIC® movement is suitable for everyone. From rehabilitation after injury or illness to enhancing performance, the system is tailored to the individual and encourages growth and a new awareness of the body. Gyrotonic training refines movement patterns, builds strength without damage, and uses breath to regenerate or stimulate the nervous system.
We offer private and small group sessions.
Our Equipment
PULLEY TOWER COMBINATION UNIT
The Pulley Tower is the most widely used piece of Gyrotonic equipment. The fully adjustable unit provides support and resistance, creating space in the joints and maximizing natural range of motion. Three-dimensional, expansive movements strengthen the whole body and release stress and tension.
JUMPING STRETCHING BOARD
The Jumping Stretching Board provides a wide range exercises which can be modified to suit all levels of strength and flexibility. The whole body is challenged using a variety of dynamic movements, developing strength, coordination and stability. The Jumping Stretching Board also allows for low impact training, ideal for building strength and conditioning after injury.
LEG EXTENSION UNIT
The Leg extension unit is our latest acquisition. It helps to improve alignment and strength and stability of the legs whilst developing a strong yet mobile centre and upper body. It challenges coordination between the upper/lower body and the hands/feet.

The Gyrokinesis Method is practiced on a mat and chair and coordinates movement, breath and mental focus. The whole-body method opens energetic pathways, stimulates the nervous system, increases range of motion, and builds functional strength through rhythmic, flowing movement sequences. We offer group and private classes.
